File this one under “I learn something new every day.” Did I expect that the ‘world’s most expensive house’ as named by Forbes magazine would be in Montana? No, I did not. I would have expected it to be on one of the coasts on a gorgeous piece of ocean front property. Just goes to show you that real estate is local.
So, what are some of the features you get for $155,000,000?
- A heated $2,000,0000 driveway
- A private ski gondola that goes in and out of the house
- a helipad with a retractable base that takes the helicopter down into the garage, and the roof shuts behind it
- 55,000 square feet and 10 bedrooms.
My question, will house guests be given gps devices so they can find their way around?
Best of all, its a spec house. Looks like the real estate market is not slow in Montana.

I’m sorry, I don’t think you meant this to be funny, but I found this line to be hillarious:
“Best of all, it’s a spec house.â€
I just instantly flashed on the glut of overpriced spec homes we have out here and how many of those builders probably wish they’d opted for a 2,000 square foot 3/2 or the like.
“Movin’ to Montana soon
Gonna be a dental floss tycoon.â€

Oh, John, you caught me. I was being just a tad sarcastic. I am with you on the glut of specs.
This a very interesting article. Watch for a pingback.
I can see why a heated driveway is important in Montana lol. They do seem to be trying to create an air of excitement around it…..wouldn’t it be interesting if it sits there like other spec homes.
Just as long as I am not making the mortgage payments!
Hi, I just came across your blog and like it a lot. Thank you for the information. I see you are interested in real estate properties. You might want then to visit this site to see some more very expensive real estates.

Tim,
I can’t help you with that since it is not my listing. I have never listed a home with that feature. Good luck!
