Volunteering is important. I spent 2 years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine, working on business development projects as a member of the first group of Peace Corps volunteers to go to the former Soviet Union. The experience changed my life and I know that it changed the lives of a number of Ukrainians I had the privilege to work with.
