On line home shopping
Published July 31st, 2005 in Uncategorized.Dmitry and I are very outspoken when we talk to new and potential clients about the power of the internet in selling a home. It was nice to have our convictions backed up today by a long article in the real estate section of the Detroit Free Press.
Though the article is about people using the home to shop for vacation homes, the principles are equally true for those shopping for their primary residence. In fact, about 80% of home buyers use the web, and they tend to actually view less homes before they make a purchase than those who shop in other ways.
The top three ways buyers find homes:
- A Realtor!
- The Internet and Yard Signs (tied)
So, the best marketing plan for the seller should include a great presence on the web. Let us help you get there.

Maureen you and Dmitry are right about the power of the internet. I never thought it would ever happen but I just got a fully executed contract for a condo I sold from my website. This is a first because I sent listings via email, spoke on phone, the buyer is a Dr.from out of town town. I never met him and we never saw the apartment just a floorplan the developers website and aerial photos from the 41st floor view. $1.425M 1 bedroom w/home office in a brand new building that I had a picture of on my website..
