Go Tigers! No, I don’t usually follow sportst too closely, but the Tigers have created an infectiously exciting buzz in Detroit this season. It’s been fun (most of the time) to watch them. I’m headed out today to get my Magglio Ordonez wig!

afterbefore (thanks Columbus Best Blog for the correction) Columbus day today. Here’s my question. Why is there a Columbus Day sale at Macy’s today??? Is Columbus day a reason to go shopping? Thanks to Maureen McCabe at Columbus Best Blog for giving us the 411 on Columbus day.
- This week we hosted a Blog Tour over at our ActiveRain blog. This gave us the chance to go out and look at a lot of other real estate blogs across the US. We came up with tons of new ideas for making miOaklandCounty better. We are going to be hosting another real estate blog tour in a week or so, and we would welcome any real estate blogger who wants to join the fun. There will be more details here later, but leave me a comment if you want to make sure you are on the tour list.
- Thanks to Dustin at RainCityGuide for posting a very helpful list of wordpress plugins. Dustin’s post lead me back to Greg Swann’s post about plugins, another great resource. As a new converter to wordpress its great to have an idea of where to head.
- Speaking of thanks… Thanks to Jay Thompson,the PhoenixRealEstateGuy,for letting me know when I was caught with my sidebars down. How embarrassing. By the way, bye-bye BuyGilbertHomes.com, hello PREG. Jay, I think you are going to take some grief for that PREG thing. Maybe we could call you T-PREG, kinda like P Diddy?
- And to Pat Kitano at TransparentRE, who gave us a new word today. Pat called miOaklandCounty.com innocent and prepossessing. I had to look up prepossessing, and I like what I found: tending to create a favorable impression. Thanks Pat, for both the new word and the compliment.

MF … today is Columbus Day (observed) the real day is the 12th. Sorry if I confused you.. we have Columbus Day(s) in Columbus… tourism, gotta fill the Central Ohio hotels…and keep our local attractions busy, especially when there is a three day weekend involved.
No mail today but at least here I think most banks are open. Public schools are open and so is OSU, but I believe Columbus State is closed…
I thought the wreath laying ceremony at our statue of Columbus outside city hall meant the contentiousness about the holiday was over but we will know more after 10 AM today.
