They make beautiful arts and crafts tiles that are in many of Metro Detroit’s finest old homes. As for rock stars, yeah, we’ve got a couple. Bob Seeger, Eminem, Kid Rock. Patti Smith was here. Don’t know now. Jack White from White Stripes. He’s gone too. I don’t know the Dearborn home you mention. My mom grew up there, but we don’t go there too often now. When we visit Michigan we are in the Dearborn area often… not as fancy but there is a house being built there that inspires the speculation “who the home was being built for. Was it a rock star? Athlete? Or Titan of Industry?” I want to say the current info on the street is a physician is building this behemoth house in Deerborn and has been for a couple of years. Across the street are unassuming homes from the 50’s or 60’s but it is on a great, deep ravine lot. I understand there was a home that was razed…who knows maybe it had Pewable tile too? We just don’t seem to have the rock stars, athletes of the same caliber in Central Ohio…. it seems. What are “Pewabic tiles”?
