This week we started a new Blog Carnival over on our ActiveRain blog. Blog carnivals are contests where bloggers submit their favorite posts and the host choses one to feature. For those of you who have not heard of ActiveRain yet, it is a blogging site for real estate professionals and others from affiliated industries (think home stagers, mortgage loan officers, title companies, etc.). If you are a real estate professional, you should really consider joining. Its a great network, chock full of very good information.
Anyway, the Carnival of Real Estate has exposed me to a much bigger world of real estate blogging. I look forward to reading it every week. But I also see a lot of very good real estate blogging going on at ActiveRain, and I wanted to inspire some of the bloggers there to start getting involved in blogging carnivals.

Great post on the Carnival of ActiveRain. I love your blog too. I grew up in Birmingham and my parents still live there so your blog content has particularly special meaning for me.

Jay, you were a delightful co-host. And you have done much to encourage my blogging, as has the delightful Maureen McCabe. She pretty much pulled me back in to blogging when she invited me to activerain. This blog was withering. You both are great blog friends-that is a high compliment.

I’ve been saying it everywhere else, so figured I’d go ahead and do it here. Thanks so much for getting the Carnival started and I think it is going to be a wonderful addition to Active Rain. Funny how many associates I’ve added this week — and I’m enjoying it.
