There Is No Winner? Or Is Everyone A Winner?

I have been in and out of participating in the Carnival of Real Estate. Mostly out lately. But I figured it would be a good thing to get back into the swing of things since I am hosting it in March. So I zipped off an entry this week and as I laid sleepless on the sofa last night, a trackback came flying in from the Carnival host onto my post. Excitement. Had I won? Well, the post was pulled before I could get to it to find out. Ahhh… the suspense.

So when I got up this morning, I checked again, certainly not expecting to find that everyone who entered was listed. Now there is a first for the Carnival of Real Estate. Well, congratulations to everyone. It looks like we are all winners, or something like that.

And while I am talking about the exciting world of real estate blogging, our fair blog is listed on The List of Influential Real Estate Blogs, as compiled by Greg Swan of Bloodhound Blog and presented by Dustin Luther from Rain City Guide. These are really two of the best real estate blogs out there, so having our name appear on almost any list they put out is a nice thing.

I wasn’t really expecting to see a ummmm “borrowed” post as the winner. Ahhh, the internet.

Has the Carnival jumped the shark? Sorry, I’m just glad that I didn’t enter this week.

I enjoy the Carnival for what it is, but lately I’ve been like you. I’m focusing on what I have going on around me and not wanting to write blogs about real estate for publication.

Since, I’m the “Carnival Geek” I was talking with Josh Dorkin about the problems the current Carnival of Real Estate and the Carnival of Real Estate Investing are having with consumer-oriented blogs. Well I got nuts and added a new Carnival focusing specifically on consumer-oriented blogs.

Teresa Boardman is on board and I think Elaine Reese is as well. So now I’m after the Maureens :-)

Toby, I was by your blog earlier and I love your idea. Frankly its all about place blogging, as you and I both know.
