Josh Plummer, my favorite guy at Flagstar Bank, does a great job of keeping me up on the latest in the world of mortgages. He does it without making me yawn, which is a compliment, of course. Plummer recently put me on notice about a change in the law that makes PMI (Private Mortgage Insurance) tax deductible. Read the full details on JoshPlummer.com.

A while back we sent Josh the following question, which is something we received from a reader of miOaklandCounty.com:

Brian Brass, from Guaranteed Rate in Southfield just popped on to my radar recently. Brian does a great job of outlining mortgage fraud schemes. When I wrote about mortgage fraud yesterday I decided not to go into the typical schemes because I didn’t want to give anyone any ideas. But honest people need to know what to look for, right?
