Via PiazzaI’ve been hearing talk of the Northville Township home that parishioners of a Redford church purchased for their pastors for the last few months. Its an 11,000 square foot home that is now exempt from property taxes, as are all parsonages. The savings in property taxes for the church is about $40,000 per year. More on the Religion News Blog.

of course Matthew 19:24 sprang to mind…. “And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” well like not really to mind… I said to myself “yeah that camel through the eye of a needle thingy….” but I couldn’t quote it or tell you what gospel it was in or chapter and verse..

wow…

Nice parsonage. I sold a minister a house once… him personally not the church… I sold a parsonage once too. It probably sold for under $40,000 years ago.
