I came across an article tonight that sounded like something I might have written. But since I did not write it, I will refer you over to this Realview piece.
Highlights:

Does the Agent have a strong online presence?
Is the agent full time?
What is the agent’s marketing strategy?

There is more, so head on over and read […]

Just came across this YouTube video of a news cast about a mortgage broker who was sold bogus leads from an on-line lead generation company. Lead generation might be one of the dirty little secrets of real estate and home finance. Or, depending on your opinion, it might be just another way […]

We have seen some ’super-sized’ transactions lately. A flurry of high end homes have sold in the last few weeks, with list prices from $2,000,000 to $5,000,000. Yes, some of these homes have been on the market a long time. But something has happened that indicates, at least to me, that the […]

A few weeks ago another Realtor in the Birmingham MI real estate market referred to me derogatorily as a “blogger”, somehow implying that blogging is not something that a real estate agent does to sell homes. Oh, how wrong he is. And I am OK that he does not know better. Another […]

Ken Mascia, the mortgage guru from Oxford Financial, is back today with the lowdown on Good Faith Estimates.
Getting a mortgage loan can be very confusing and a lot of Lenders like it that way. They get you lost in the numbers and make you believe that you’re getting a better deal when they are […]

OK, no ‘rah rah rah’, just a few impressions of what I have been seeing out there in the local market in the last two weeks or so. Let’s just call this another one of my anecdotal market reports.

I tried to set up 3 showings for one couple. Two of the houses were […]

In December we told the tall tale about our newest listing with the Fish n’ Flush, a fanciful device for the bath of your dreams or nightmares, depending on your opinion. Fortunately, like most good fish stories, this was about the one that got away…
Now we bring you another remodeling don’t if you are considering […]

… Linda Chabucos Gallow, a Realtor in Gainesville, Wisconsin. Gallow’s clients discovered the body of the homeowner in bed, where it had apparently laid, peacefully I presume, for two weeks.
That clearly trumps my recent peeing dog story. Congratulations to Linda for winning the award that no other Realtor wanted.

Some of you may recall a post I did a while back about Habitat for Humanity taking building materials out of my childhood home before it met the wrecking ball.
We sold the house in 2003, and it is looking like the new home on the site is nearing completion. Quite a change from the home […]
