MiOaklandCounty has been without it’s central voice lately. I have been fortunate to have guest bloggers and regular contributors sending me things to post, but my life has gotten in the way of me even being able to take the time to get up other people’s posts in a timely manner. I don’t really like the idea of blogging about why I am not blogging, but my voice has been missing here for quite some time.
As Realtors we are often part of major transitions in people’s lives. People buy and sell homes after they marry, have a child, get a new job, divorce, move to assisted living, etc. We do what we can to help ease that transition.
For the last 2 months, my family has been in it’s own transition, as we care for my terminally ill father in his final days with us. My family has been my focus for most of my waking hours, though Dmitry and I have done our best to serve our existing clients and provided them with the seamless service they deserve. Most of our clients did not know we answered calls from a waiting room outside of Beaumont’s ICU, and in the age of the cell phones and the internet, we are able to do many of the things we do for our clients from just about anywhere.
We are always honored when someone entrusts us with assisting in a home sale or purchase. But details like my dear blog, my diet, and mailing my Christmas cards have received relatively little attention. Thank you for understanding and for your support. My voice will be back soon, and, in the meantime, please tell someone you care about how much you love them.

Mo - I was wondering how your Dad was doing. I’m so sorry. Rest assured your readers understand. As always, if there is anything I can do to help, don’t hesitate to ask.

Maureen,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My mother passed away last May after a courageous ten year battle with breast cancer. Although gut-wrenching and difficult, the last few months, weeks, days, hours, and moments spent with her was some of the most rewarding time of my life by far. I feel so blessed to have been able to take care of her, to tell her how much I love her, and to say goodbye to her. I wish you and your family love and peace.
God bless,
Stefan
